Creating a website from scratch

Having basic skills in HTML and CSS, I have decided to create a website from scratch. Being in lockdown, it's a good opportunity to improve my coding skills and attention to detail as well.


I will be creating a website for Saheli, which sells Indian wear for women who live in Sydney. The target market is niche, aimed at women (or men) who like clothes with an Indian or 'hippie' aesthetic. Large-scale competitors with similar goals are businesses such as 'Tree of Life' and 'Dusk'.

The client wants to sell Indian clothing wear to individuals from an online eCommerce website, for a cheaper price to similar competitors.

In their own words, they want to the website be simple, useable and include fashion line art illustrations.


Before I start I need to understand the items and categories to be sold, so I can make pages accordingly.
